Skeletons prioritize targets which are closer over targets more distant. Skeletons prioritize targets with more hit dice over other targets. Skeletons prioritize targets that they can reach this round without provoking attacks of opportunity over other targets. Non-living and undead creatures are unmolested unless the skeleton witnesses it attacking an undead creature. If living creatures and objects are both visible, the skeletons will bypass objects (such as trees) in order to attack creatures (such as people or horses). If a skeleton has unbroken line of sight to a living creature or object, they will attack it. The mindless undead hunger for life and are completely ambivalent to all else. Under the Crawling Darkness option, undead are inherently evil, and act accordingly. So they'll be just like any other monster – as tactically savvy as the DM. Of course, it doesn't make much difference to uncontrolled Wights and the like – they are somewhat intelligent and wholly evil. The actions of uncontrolled undead depend largely on the moral option your game is using for necromancy in general. Of course, what that program actually is has heretofore been left undescribed. But what does an uncontrolled zombie do? It's not intelligent, it simply runs a program that causes it to act in a predictable fashion to stimulus. When a necromancer creates even a lowly kobold skeleton when his necromantic control limit has already been reached, one or more of the undead creatures already under his control become "uncontrolled". At first I thought that it just meant the idle speed, as the MOBO correctly showed that my CPU is 3,5GHz. Then, I just noticed that in BIOS it said my CPU speed was 0,8GHz. I tried a clean install of Windows but it did not help. Just a quick update, I found the problem and I am mostly sure that it is hardware related, altough I found a software that cured the problem at least for now. I am on Windows 10 64bit, i5 6600k 3.50 ghz, 8gb ram I even tried to go back and reverted windows state to a few weeks past stage when all was still working fine, but did not help.Įven one instance of arturia dx7 without playing a single note is giving over 60 % CPU load now I have several old projects that I can´t now use at all. Suddenly all my plugins overload CPU, I have tried unistalling SO3 and installing it again, tried different audio interfaces but the problem persists. Thanks for everyone who has taken their time to reply and trying to help. I will try running the latencymon if I can find something there, but I will also do a clean install on my operating system after I have made backups of the files I need. FYI, before the problem I could work with decent sized projects without any problems without me touching any of the standard windows settings. I have studied on the Windows 10 audio optimization procedures and changed all the settings accordingly but it did not help either. It is probs better than the Quad Capture which I know is not great, it is already an old entry level interface but it has served me well and as the Helix did not solve the problem I am 99% sure it is not the interface that is giving me issues. Regardless there is a lot you can do to optimise windows for audio.Īs I said, I have tried also Line6 Helix which to my knowledge is a pretty decent audio interface also, even if it is not a dedicated one. Normally when mention this I get a kick up the backside as though I'm some uncaring idiot fanboy or something, but it's true they aren't great interfaces. I'm afraid quadcapture audio interfaces aren't the best either, they are quite regularly featured when having issues in many forums. I need the extra RAM anyway so money is not wasted.īut as said, it is weird that 1 instance of U-he Diva can overload the CPU all the sudden. I tested CPU and test results said that it works properly, and as I said earlier my small projects have not been an issue, so I hope that the extra RAM could help, in case that it is bottlenecking my system. Buffer size usually as low as I can go without getting dropouts, but I have experimented with larger buffers now that I began having problems but it won´t help. My audio interface is Roland Quad Capture, I tested also with Line6 Helix which also works as audio interface, did not work either. The High Performance plan does not limit the CPU. Make sure the Windows power plan is not limiting the maximum CPU speed. While testing keep dropout protection at Minimum! That way CPU load is consistent. What's your audio device? Is Studio One using the correct driver for that device? And at what sample rate and buffer size are you usually working (before the issue)? Niles wrote samieklf wrotethe first thing I will do anyway that is way overdue is that I will get some more ram, probs 32 gb and see if that helps at all.I doubt that will solve CPU issues. For example, if you draw a man on one page, flip over to the next page and draw a woman then click the button, you're going to get a picture of a man and woman overlapping.Īnd then there are some logistical issues that are bound to happen: sometimes as you write, your paper may move, and because of that, the lines captured by the app and the lines on your paper will be different. It's not really capturing what is shown on the paper. See the thing is the Bamboo Spark is actually capturing your strokes one by one. The Spark performs very well as a note-taking tool but when it comes to drawing, it falls short. The setup itself takes only 45 seconds and is a one-time affair. Otherwise, you can draw all you like but you're not going to have access to the digital versions. That means it's really important to make sure your phone is compatible with the app before you buy the product. Also, the thickness of the paper makes no difference to the final output.īefore you can start drawing, you need to download an app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. The good thing is you can use any paper you like as long as you use it over the sensor in the binder. As for the paper provided by Wacom - a regular A5-sized pad - it's easy to draw and write on. The pen works for taking notes but as any artist will tell you, being restricted to one form of media, in this case ballpoint pens, can be especially frustrating. So in case you forget the pen at home, the smartness of the product goes right out the window. Sadly, the Bamboo Spark doesn't work with typical ballpoint pens, or any other pens or pencils for that matter. No matter how you hold the pen or how you use it on paper, the line width remains the same. The fine point made no difference in the line quality on the uploaded drawing. The pen is sleek, and the refills fine point, not medium (which is what comes with the Wacom pen). At the edge is a rubber band that will latch on to the front cover's hook to close the holder tight, just like a folder. It feels like a binder that one would carry into a lecture at first glance. The Wacom Spark holder is really well made. Luckily, nearly everything about the Spark is smarter than its predecessor. Inkling had mixed reviews, mostly leaning towards the unfavourable. The first was the Inkling released in 2011. This is not Wacom's first attempt at creating something that works like this. Tablets and laptops are being used more and more as you will see in any meeting these days, yet you can't beat the fluidity of writing with a pen on paper. Whether it's recording the details of a meeting, or roughing out an early concept, we end up using pages upon pages of paper which is then hidden away in a pile of notepads or sketchbooks. Taking notes and jotting down ideas is something we all do. As this kind of product falls outside the day-to-day experience and expertise of the team at Gadgets 360, we worked with Mudit Ganguly, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer who uses such devices for a living, to provide his expert opinion about the Spark. It's like using a scanner to digitise your paper notes, except that there's no scanner. The Bamboo Spark is what Wacom is calling a 'smart folio' notes you make using its smart pen and pad will be turned into digital versions ready to share online. It is a specialised gadget for note-taking and illustrating, according to Wacom. The Bamboo Spark is a little different, as Wacom envisions it as a kind of smart notebook. Wacom is famous for its tablets for artists, digitisers that allow them to create art directly on the computer, instead of having to work with pen and paper and then a scanner. Flechs Sheets is a browser-based playing aid with tracking and automation features that can also print sheets. Yes, they also update their record sheets every once in a while. I'd suggest grabbing the development version, as it's quite stable and the "stable" version tends to fall behind in version by a fair amount. Created units can also be exported to formatted text or html for posting online. It can also print PDF record sheets for almost all Battletech units. If you download the MekHQ package, it comes with everything. Currently it can create Meks, vehicles, battlearmor, and conventional infantry. SSW and SAW (the two included programs) let you built mechs and combat vehicles, including VTOLs. I would suggest that when printing in SSW, I would suggest turning off "Include Warrior Data", ensure "Tables and Movement Grid" is selected, and that "Canon Dot Pattern" is off.īesides SSW, make sure you download the Master file, which has nearly all official mechs. Both are programs that let you build your own mech, vee, or other unit, and come with the data for nearly all units. For record sheets, there are two options I highly recommend. When the computer’s output identified no problems, software engineers would “eyeball” the listings, verifying that no issues required attention. The archival material includes printout sheets, known as “the listings,” which show results of guidance equation calculations. The museum holds in its collections the Apollo Flight Guidance Computer Software Collection created by Hamilton. “Not too many people know what punch cards are anymore, but that’s how you programmed it,” says Paul Ceruzzi, a curator emeritus at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, who has known Hamilton for the past two decades. A keypunch operator would create holes in paper cards, keying the codes into what were called punch cards. When the Apollo missions were planned, the process of writing code began on large sheets of paper. The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum holds in its collections the Apollo Flight Guidance Computer Software Collection (above, page number 45506-A) created by Hamilton and her team. Critics said it inflated her work’s importance, but today, when software engineers represent a fervently sought-after segment of the work force, no one is laughing at Margaret Hamilton. Hamilton, who popularized the term “software engineering,” took some chiding for it. “I was concentrating on the software.” After everything worked properly, the weight of the moment hit her. “I was not concentrating on the mission, per se,” Hamilton confessed. Programmers had to use paper punch cards to feed information into room-sized computers with no screen interface.Īs the landing occurred, Hamilton, then 32, was hooked up to Mission Control from MIT. The achievement was a monumental task at a time when computer technology was in its infancy: The astronauts had access to only 72 kilobytes of computer memory (a 64-gigabyte cell phone today carries almost a million times more storage space). And with only enough fuel for 30 more seconds of flight, Neil Armstrong reported, “The Eagle has landed.” “Fortunately, the people at Mission Control trusted our software,” Hamilton said. “It quickly became clear,” she later said, “that software was not only informing everyone that there was a hardware-related problem, but that the software was compensating for it.” An investigation would eventually show that the astronauts’ checklist was at fault, telling them to set the rendezvous radar hardware switch incorrectly. The software, which allowed the computer to recognize error messages and ignore low-priority tasks, continued to guide astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin over the crater-pocked, dusty crust of the moon to their landing. For a moment Mission Control faced a “go / no-go” decision, but with high confidence in the software developed by computer scientist Margaret Hamilton and her team, they told the astronauts to proceed. On July 20, 1969, as the lunar module, Eagle, was approaching the moon’s surface, its computers began flashing warning messages.
